But before we tell you where to buy this book, we tell you a little about what Cytopathology is

Cytopathology is a branch of pathology that studies and diagnoses diseases at the cellular level. The discipline was founded by George Nicolas Papanicolaou in 1928. Cytopathology is generally used on free cell samples or tissue fragments, in contrast to histopathology, which studies entire tissues.

The science of Cytopathology is discussed in this book written by E. Blair Holladay. The publisher of this book is the American Society for Clinical Pathology and was released on June 1, 2015. The original language was English and now it has been widely translated into various languages.

Testimony

We found some testimonies of people who had already read this book. Some are satisfied and some give some notes.

TheBaron was one of the buyers of this book. Through the Amazon page, he gave his testimonial as follows:

“Overall a good review book for cytopathology. There are a few misses though:

    1. A few poor quality photographs.
    2. A few photographs that do not seem to match the morphological description given in the answer. E.g an ‘”Endocervical adenocarcinoma” with columnar morphology that every one of 6 cytopath attendings I showed said looked like HSIL and had no columnar morphology to speak of.
    3. A few overly aggressive diagnoses especially ASCUS being called LSIL, supposed HSIL but with very low N:C ratio.
    4. A few under calls.
    5. A lot of emphasis on examinations that have fallen out of practice (e.g. I have never been asked to perform a hormonal analysis).
    6. Tubal met pictures without cilia, AGUS with cilia, AGUS that looks like HSIL, etc…
    7. A few questions with potentially reversed images e.g. a set of radiation dysplasia and radiation changes questions with reversed images.

You won’t find a more comprehensive or exhaustive review book if you can overlook a few weird inconsistencies.”

The same comment with ABham was also made via the Amazon page. In his opinion, this book : “Huge number of questions! Great photo quality as well. The management questions were a great review. Found a few errors, but overall great book.”
